An example of Basque Rationalist architecture. The structure of the building is reminiscent of a ship. It was declared a historical and artistic monument in 1995.
It was designed by Bermeo-born architect Fernando Arzadun Ibarra in 1930 as a home for his parents, and was one of the first Rationalist buildings in Bizkaia. The ship-like design is emphasised by features such as masts.
